Naval brass is a copper-zinc-tin alloy originally developed for sea water applications. It is one of the Alpha Beta Brasses, which are harder and stronger than other brass alloys. Naval brass is corrosion resistant, exhibits high tensile strength, rigidity, and high wear resistance, and is easy to machine.
It is used extensively in marine hardware, as well as fasteners for processing equipment, pumping and valve equipment.
The Dale Company supplies bolts, eye bolts, S-hooks, and specialty bolts in naval brass.
