Technical FAQ for L-Shaped Anchor Bolts
What is the primary difference in application between a plain finish and a hot-dip galvanized (HDG) anchor bolt?
Plain finish carbon steel is suitable for dry, interior applications where corrosion is not a concern. Hot-dip galvanized bolts have a thick zinc coating providing superior corrosion resistance, making them the standard for exterior use, embedment in concrete, and exposure to moisture or harsh environments.
Can your anchor bolts be supplied with Material Test Reports (MTRs)?
Yes. We can provide full traceability and MTRs upon request. Please specify this requirement in your RFQ to ensure all necessary documentation is included with your order.
What is the standard thread length (T) for your stock anchor bolts?
Our standard thread length is 4 inches for bolts up to 5/8″ diameter and 6 inches for bolts 3/4″ diameter and larger. Custom thread lengths are available upon request.
Do your L-shaped anchor bolts meet any state DOT specifications?
Our bolts are manufactured to ASTM A563 standards. While this meets the requirements for many general construction projects, please specify any Department of Transportation (DOT) or other agency requirements in your RFQ so we can ensure full compliance.
